When I grow up, I want to be a cloud.

This series captures the quiet dialogue between water and sky along the rugged Oregon coast. As I walked the shoreline, I observed the waves reaching upward, their movements echoing the shapes and forms of the clouds above. It was as if they were engaged in a dance, a playful exchange that blurred the boundaries between earth and atmosphere.

In this imagined conversation, I saw the water longing to transcend—dreaming of becoming a cloud once more. The crashing waves and drifting clouds seemed to reflect one another, revealing a cycle of transformation and a connection often overlooked.

Through these images, I invite viewers to see this interplay, to sense the rhythm and yearning within nature’s elements, and perhaps to reflect on the conversations and aspirations we find in our own lives.
